Public Housing Resident Council (PHRC)

Representing the interest of the residents of the multifamily and elderly developments owned, operated, or subsidized by the Housing Authority of Kansas City, MO, as a jurisdiction-wide resident council.

• The PHRC prepares residents to become economically self-sufficient through entrepreneurship, education, employment, training, and through programs.
• The PHRC improves the quality of life and resident satisfaction in programs which enable residents to create a positive environment for families in public housing.
• Advising HAKC on areas of its operations including, but not limited to, general maintenance, security, occupancy, resident training, resident employment, social services, and modernization priorities.
